A non-profit organization, is Lu’s vehicle through which she facilitates school visits of musicians, poets and other artists. Says Lu, “Whenever we expose children to their own South African culture through the arts we are blown away by their response. It becomes clear that they experience it instinctively, and that is so heart warming.”

Lu Dlamini Musician Vocalist Durban South Africa

Umphrofethi: This project is deeply close to my heart. The book is rooted in a powerful philosophy we South Africans live by: UBUNTU
It’s the profound understanding that our humanity is intertwined, “I am because we are”
My hope is that this book becomes a tool, a way towards healing, to bridge gaps between generations, and to remind us of our shared connection, in a world that often feels divided, the message of Ubuntu is a balm we all need.

I warmly invite you to buy a copy

  • for yourself as a source of strength
  • for your friend, as a token of love
  • And especially for a young person in your life, to equip them with wisdom and compassion for their journey ahead. Let’s plant these seeds of Ubuntu together
